Clothing Through the Decades
For over 25 years elizabeth has designed and created one of a kind period clothing. To celebrate Florida’s quincentennial year, Elizabeth produced a lecture and workshop to discuss how European clothing changed through out the decades of the 16th century. She was awarded a Florida Humanities grant to teach historical reenactors the appropriate clothing to wear as they reenact specific events that occurred in Florida. Right: Elizabeth dressed as Maria Velasquez. She does storytelling performances as a Spanish woman who traveled to Florida in !528 with the Panfilo de Narváez Expedition.
